CARS 3-TRAILER REVIEW

Well then, Pixar decided to go dark on this one.

I know I'm in a small minority here, but I really enjoy both Cars and Cars 2, sure they're quite silly and among Pixar's weaker films, but they have a charm all their own. Cars 3 may be the one to change that. I may be wrong, but the story of Lightning McQueen dealing with retirement while training a new generation? Yeah that sounds mature for a franchise that previously included spy cars, but it also sounds like the kind of thing that will resonate with more viewers. Again I may be wrong, but the idea of the Cars franchise ending with a mature film, one that actually proves to be the best in the series is shocking (even more shocking if it's among Pixar's better output this decade), but that may be what's happening here.

I don't have much else to say, this is a short teaser after all,but isn't it nice to have a Pixar teaser that feels like a Pixar teaser? I can't remember the last time that happened, but yeah, once again, how dark is this one?
