SPIDER-MAN:HOMECOMING-TRAILER REVIEW

Another year, another reboot, oh hi Tony!

So, I dig this trailer, a lot, which says a lot, cause the last time I saw a Spider-man reboot trailer I just could not care in the least. I've got no issues with reboots, some are good, some are awful, but the Amazing series was just a big burn to the franchise, I just couldn't muster any interest. So, what's different this time? Aside from the connection to the MCU, a sense of fun, as well as an actual connection to high school.

Yeah, isn't that strange? The first film in the last reboot made a big deal about keeping Peter in high school, but outside of him being in high school, I'm not sure that film actually felt like a movie about high school. This trailer just oozes teen drama, but also teen comedy, it's fitting, making good use of the setting. Peter looks like a horny teen and honestly, that's funny and unique to the MCU brand. The trailer even makes it a point to have Tony Stark (Iron Man) tell Peter to leave the bad guy to the grown ups, in case you needed further proof that this was a teen coming of age film, by the way yes, Iron Man is in this movie because that's where we're at now.

So Spider-Man:Homecoming, looks unique to the MCU, looks fun, and for the first time since 2007 I'm excited for a Spider-Man movie trailer, don't disappoint me.
