Here we are yet again talking about The Good Dinosaur, the second Pixar film of 2015, out this Thanksgiving.
I find myself worried that this film may be overly criticized over two reasons, the first being inaccuracy to modern depictions of dinosaurs, the second being Inside Out, given how much people loved it, will many critics compare this to that simply for being in the same year? I hope not. I personally think this trailer looks full of wonder, though I'm not quite grasping the story from it, it feels more like one of those tribute videos you see online rather than a trailer. My biggest disappointment here actually lies with the sizes of the dinosaurs themselves, when I saw a sneak peek for it in D23 two years back, the dinosaurs were massive in comparison to the human boy, I guess the challenge was too much, or the story wasn't relatable enough with such a size difference between the leads, either way I find myself disappointed. I think this may end up being one of the more beautiful films to look at for the studio, the animation here is really impressive, here's to hoping the story can match the beauty, I'm definitely watching this one.
