FINDING DORY-REVIEW

Thirteen years later comes a sequel and I'm pleased to announce it's good, also it only took three minutes into the movie for me to cry, a new record I suppose.

LEADERSHIP-THE PIXAR VILLAIN FORMULA

We are told in life to follow our leaders, but what if our leaders are leading us to something bad? That is something I get out of Pixar movies. Disney has often featured obvious villains, even if they're characters in some form of power, they tend to be/look untrustworthy right from the start; for example, Jafar may be in a high position right from the start, but he also is presented as a villain right from the start, by contrast Auto from WALL-E, may be an obvious villain, but he isn't presented as such at first, in fact the only tip is his look being reminiscent of HAL-9000; that to me is the key difference between Pixar and Disney Animation villains, regardless of their appearance, Pixar villains are in most cases not presented as villains right away, this is the Pixar villain formula.

SAUSAGE PARTY & SUPPORTING MATURE ANIMATION

Adult, animated feature, two phrases rarely paired together, though recently that's changed as we draw nearer to Sausage Party, an animated feature by comedy filmmaker/actor Seth Rogen. The South Park movie, recently Anomalisa, and if you go back a few decades, you'll find the 70's and early 80's had a few too, yes R-rated (or above) animated films, so why is Sausage Party being treated as something special? Well largely because while animated films aimed at older audiences have been made, most never get big enough to leave an impact, I think we should make the animated R-rated feature a common thing, instead of an unusual occurrence.
